With he current Drop rate and an axe with fortune 3, I made 1 bonus sapling of 9 trees my tree farm in survival, it is barely sustainable and it is quite frustrating to have to use a third party plug in to even find a jungle biome and then travel the block to cut down a huge chunk of it for not even. but jungle tree leaves have 1/40 chance of dropping saplings. When the Jungle trees were added, the thinking was that a % drop rate for sapling would be enough, due to the amount of leaves generated from large jungle trees.

This is what I believe to be the real reason. The drop rate was put to %, and the developers simply left it at that. When leaves decay, or are broken by any tool except shears, they have a 5% chance of dropping a sapling, except for jungle leaves, which have a % chance of dropping a treedelimbing.barble: Yes.
